It's that exciting time of year when the Tekwani Barkbuster Funduro is waiting for you!!
You can enter and ride on Saturday 20th April or Sunday 21st April – or ride both days for a 50% extra fee.
Adults pre entry: R400 per day or R600 for both days. U16 pre entry: R350 per day or R500 for both days. Adventure Bikes: R500 per day or R600 for both days.
We have built tracks and loops for every level of rider as follows:
Pee-Wee track: Situated at the start/finish area, this short track is perfect for little kids on their small bikes and Mom can keep an eye on them easily.
Fun Family loop Fully marked with bright pink stickers. Approx 25kms of Forest roads and some fun single track. Suitable for kids and novice adult riders with one or two fun challenges but nothing difficult. Track Open from 9am to 2pm
New Adventure bike loop: Final distance to still be finalised. Stunning forest roads and a few single tracks leading to numerous spectator spots and a lunch in the bush.
Bronze GPS tracks Rider level: 6.5/10 Bronze level is two different, approx 30km+ loops, both returning to pits. Traditional enduro with a few challenges to negotiate but NOT very technical. Flowing and fun but a solid distance if riding both tracks. Fill your trippers, ensure new GPS batteries and get ready to enjoy.
Silver GPS tracks Rider level 8/10 Silver level is two approx 35kms loops. Tekwani Silver is a solid step up from Bronze. It will also have two loops to complete. Terrain is a mix of some traditional enduro and hard enduro sections similar to Romaniacs-type tracks. These loops are NOT for fun riders out for a chilled day with mates. It is a solid Impi-type training day and a great challenge if you are keen to step it up and sweat for between 4.5 and 7 hours saddle time for both loops.
Gold GPS tracks Rider level 8.5/10 Gold Level ispprox 35kms per loop. These two loops follow a lot of Silver common track with approx six extra sections that add some proper tech into the mix. Rocky gulleys, steep power climbs as well as technical ups and downs. Pro riders can look to complete these loops around two hours each, and the non-pro tech rider 3-4 hrs per loop.
As you can see, Tekwani is a great day in the saddle for guys and girls and incredible FUN.
Less than 200 spaces left: So book ASAP to avoid disappointment (see entry links below)
The cool thing is you can ride the A loop within two to four hours and then decide if you want to head out on the extra B-loop. So no pressure to be out there till after lunch. If you need to load and go by lunch time, then tackle A-loop only. If keen to ride into the arvie, then tackle both loops or return on the Sunday for a 50% extra fee.
* Spectator routes available if friends and family keen to head out to watch some action.
* Full catering & coffee on sale all weekend: Please bring cash to avoid card reception issues down in the plantation.
* Bring costumes if hot and swim in river.
* Loads of accomodation in Midlands Meander area |
